SAMURAI Field Network
SAMURAI Field Network (SFN) is committed to being a real social infrastructure for people and groups with spirits to uphold all over the world to get together and interact both in reality and virtuality. The “social infrastructure” normally means public infrastructures such as roads, waterworks, sewerage, communication networks, Internet, etc. However, we believe that human networks and relationships among people should be recognized as the more fundamental social infrastructure.
And that is exactly the underlining reason for existence for the SAMURAI Field Network. What we mean by SAMURAI here is any person with spirit and intention to fulfill one’s mission in life. These people are all over the world regardless of their genders, ethnic groups or national boarders. If people come to know each other’s spirits and missions and are connected through EN, a higher level of synergy and harmony in peace will naturally be available beyond the difference in belief, ethnicity, religions, industries and belonging organizations. We believe this will empower people to overcome global issues like environmental pollution, economic disparity and ethnic conflicts that all of us are facing in today’s world.
The SAMURAI Field Network (SFN) is a technology to fulfill above intention in the form of social infrastructure. It is difficult for the conventional anonymous social networking systems to fulfill this because they don’t allow the space in which people can relate each other responsively.
In the SAMURAI Field Network, people know each other as their real names with their photos and mission statements so that they can be responsible in their relationships in the Network. We believe that this kind of relationship, based on the real name, relating each other and horning each other as expressing their spirit and vocation both on Internet and in real life, is actually the requirements for a global social network to be the social infrastructure.
In 2000, we applied patents for our fundamental idea for the Social Networking, which is “expanding friends circle by connecting friends with friends.” By now we are granted five patents in Japan and five patents in the United States including relevant patents. In 2001, we started the “MekikiCity,” one of the earliest examples of SNS in the world. In 2007, the SAMURAI Social Network (SSN) appeared an evolved version from it. In 2010, this network has become a meta-social network, called SAMURAI Field network (SFN), that various groups can join and whose people can connect each other beyond groups.
We cannot wait any longer to solve the current global environmental issues. The problems we are facing today exist at a global level and cannot be solved by one powerful nation nor one great person. What is now called for is an alliance of people and groups on the globe at the grass root level.
We exist in a finite time. We can honor occasions of meeting people as one and only precious EN on the earth and take actions in service of the present and future generations of people. We call it “living in a Samurai temporality. We believe that by creating the SAMURAI Field Network, which connects people with individual spirit and groups to uphold all over the world, our spirit and intentions can be collectively inherited to the next generations.
We would like you to join us in this endeavor of building the social infrastructure that allows people in the world to live in peace by connecting our individual spirits and souls to each other’s through above activities.
